Project Description
After a massive staffing change at RBM, I was left as the most experienced person on a young, fresh-out-of-college development team, and with a tidal wave of incoming sites to both design and develop. CNY was a client that needed to be impressed, knew what they wanted, what they did not like, and not afraid to share their thoughts with the agency. In my design, I opted to embrace stunning black and white photography, to showcase the feminine shape of the company logo by making it large upon the initial load of the site and minimizing it upon scroll, then using the hot, brand-yellow as a callout throughout the site.
Anxious while presenting this design for the first time to the client, they were very happy as soon as the design appeared in the meeting, remarking that the large, black and white photo’s model had the “perfect nasal structure”.
It was around this time that I felt it was time to move on to another position, and I left the website launch to my coworker, and good friend, Jason Martins. The design was changed slightly upon my departure, but the overall feel was maintained by Jason, for which I am thankful.
